A Floral Designer’s Approach to Wedding Planning
When you’re in the floral design business as long as we’ve been, you see wedding vendors come and go. And you also see wedding vendors grow. One thing we’ve noticed when small companies become big companies is a change in the relationship between the business and the client.
At Ornamento, we’ve maintained a small business mentality. And that means treating each and every client as a priority. We never want to be the person who says, “I don’t have time for this.” That’s because we know that planning a wedding, planning an event, or simply making someone feel special takes a tremendous amount of energy.
We have time for you, and we know that your time is precious.
Marrying Floral Design and Wedding Planning
When Orna works with brides, she becomes part of the wedding planning process from day one. Her background as a certified wedding planner gives her an edge as a floral designer.
Orna’s approach isn’t just about flowers. It’s about creating an entire experience.
It’s about artistic expression of a bride’s personality and the emotions she wants her special day to evoke.
For some brides, artistic expression means a dream bouquet. For others it means full service design of everything from table settings to elaborate wedding centerpieces. That’s why so many brides find our small business approach incredibly valuable. There’s nothing cookie cutter about the way we do business.
Orna sits down with brides and listens carefully. She understands that a bride is planning the most important day of her life. Every bride’s dreams, wishes and whims are important to us. Orna never uses a template. Every wedding design is a fresh start with a strong foundation in style and art.
Your Wedding Shouldn’t Look Like Anyone Else’s
Because we don’t have a warehouse full of linens and chairs, there’s no pressure to sell our brides on specific services or rentals. Every recommendation we make is in our client’s best interests. We approach each event individually, and recommend only what fits with a bride’s vision and stays within her budget. This kind of collaboration — from creating Pinterest mood boards to setting up on the day of the wedding — gives brides the ability to express themselves. Without any of the stress.

Recently, Orna met with a bride atop the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. As the lovely bride and her bridesmaids toasted with champagne, Orna was there — ensuring that everything went exactly as planned. Caught up in the bride’s joy, Orna snapped a sweet candid photo to commemorate the fruits of a beautiful collaboration.
It’s this kind of working relationship that truly sets us apart.
It’s our genuine enthusiasm and affection for the men and women celebrating life’s most joyful occasions. If you’re looking for a unique approach to wedding planning, please reach out to us. We’re happy to partner with you however you’d like, whether you want to remain completely hands off or you want to do the bulk of your wedding planning under the tutelage of an industry leader.
